- Through activities in science and technology, business and economic literacy, and outdoor and environmental awareness, Girl Scouting provides girls with opportunities for fun and friendship, while fostering development of leadership skills and self-esteem.
- The Outdoor Program Specialist is responsible for providing mentorship, support, training, development, implementation, support, and evaluation of high-quality programs within the pillars of the Girl Scout Focus (STEAM, Civic Engagement, Outdoors, Entrepreneurship) that meet the needs and interests of girls.
- Manage the planning, design, and implementation of progressive and bold experiences in outdoor program areas: Aquatics, Camping, Excursions, Equestrian, Sports and STEM on and off council properties.
- Management of outdoor programs on and off site including, day/weekend excursions, outdoor activities, Journeys, Badge days and enhancing troops’ outdoor experiences.
- Focuses on inclusive and universal design to embrace diverse volunteers and girls.
