- Valor Point (9A) is located within the Community Living Center and is a 40-bed unit consisting of two programs, Transitional Care and Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program (CIIRP).
- This program provides wound care/healing IV therapy/TPN, various orthopedic diagnoses, respiratory care: veteran and family education and veterans waiting title 19 approval and guardianship.
- The Restorative Aide is a member of the unit leadership team and will work closely with Veterans, other staff, and the Division Restorative Coordinator.
- The Restorative Aide maintains competency to perform restorative care modalities including Range of Motion (ROM), splint/brace assistance, bed mobility, transfers, ambulation, dressing, grooming, eating, swallowing, excellent communication and documentation.
- The Restorative Aide assists with training new staff and completion of competencies, planning and carrying out unit/individual activities, assist as needed with Nursing Assistant responsibilities, demonstrates knowledge and skills to care for residents' at end of life or receiving palliative treatments, provide skilled care for residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments, actively participate in meetings including Watch List Huddle and Shift to Shift report.
