- The Acute Care Cardiology Unit (ACCU) is an integral part of the Heart Institute and provides comprehensive care for medical and surgical cardiac patients including heart and heart lung transplant.
- Some of therapeutic modalities used on the Acute Care Cardiology unit include noninvasive monitoring, cardiac telemetry, oxygen, high-flow nasal cannula, inotropic and antiarrhythmic drug therapy, NIRS, and complex drainage tube management.
