- The Mitigation Grants Specialist applies FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) Grant Program’s guidance, with a specific focus on administering and monitoring program support assistance which is critical to effective mitigation program delivery to our clients.
- Job Duties and Responsibilities include: Serve as a coordinator for and as liaison to client counterparts regarding the implementation of the FEMA mitigation grant programs.
- Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of Emergency Management Hazard Mitigation concepts and project management principles.
- Experience writing/reviewing Hazard Mitigation plans.
- Experience with public speaking to conduct and support webinars and conference calls, coordinate meetings with State, Local and County officials Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, and other technical programs needed to perform Mitigation work.
