- The position performs blood and body fluid analysis in one or more of the technical sections including, Chemistry/Special Chemistry, Hematology/Hemostasis, Immunology, Point of Care (POC),Toxicology, and Molecular Pathology.
- In accordance with the California Code of Regulations, Title 17, Section 1032.5, The Medical Laboratory Technician performs tests and examinations under the supervision of a licensed physician and surgeon, or a doctoral scientist, clinical laboratory bioanalyst, clinical laboratory scientist, or clinical laboratory specialist.
- California Licensed Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
- Technical knowledge in one or more of the following sections: Chemistry, Hematology/Hemostasis Immunology, Molecular Pathology, Point of Care Testing, Special Chemistry, and/or Toxicology.
- Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), EPIC EMR, hospital incident reporting systems (e.g., RL Solutions).
