- The Mechanical Design Engineer is a key member of the New Product Development (NPD) and Engineered to Order (ETO) engineering teams, working on complex wafer processing equipment that is used to manufacture advanced semiconductors, LEDs, displays, photonics, VCSELs, power electronics, compound semiconductors, hard disk drives, MEMS and wireless chips.
- This role involves overall system design, automation/robotics, vacuum vessel design, heat transfer, gas and vapor delivery, incorporation of OEM power supplies and controllers, as well as many other engineering and design areas.
- Perform analytical studies and theoretical calculations, requiring a variety of engineering knowledge, including analysis of vacuum vessels, heat transfer, material structural analysis, static and dynamic, fluids, and motion mechanisms
- Support Program Management with project flow through the PLC Phase gates
