- Works closely with other college professionals in the administration of all college physical security technology including but not limited to card readers, cameras, video recording data, License Plate Recognition system, alarm devices, and infrastructure (network and server administration, database maintenance and management, mechanical and electrical repairs) serving over 8,000 cardholders including students, faculty, staff, vendors, off-campus businesses, and temporary access holders.
- Responsible for progressing physical security technology on campus by integrating campus systems, enhancing data security, seeking new technologies, and standardizing hardware and security devices and develops both strategic and long-range plans for all college physical security technology.
- Daily - 15%: Serves as a liaison between the Department of Safety, Security and Emergency Preparedness and other constituencies including, but not limited to Facilities and Campus Administration to design, implement and troubleshoot card access and CCTV system problems and to ensure issues are resolved.
- Monthly - 5%: Prepares and carries out scope and work for any on campus capital and non-capital projects assigned by Captain, Campus Safety to include bidding process, scheduling, progressive monitoring, testing, and commissioning.
- Monthly - 5%: Maintains and develops both strategic and long-range plans for the card access, ID card, and CCTV systems on campus, including, but not limited to, card design and establishing usage.
