- The Manager, Federal Government Relations, will help guide the development, socialization, and execution of a comprehensive, long-term federal government relations strategy to promote and protect Sysco's public policy interests.
- Working closely with the Senior Director (Global Head) of Government Relations, functional, and commercial leaders, the Federal GR Manager will help drive the company's advocacy efforts and build relationships with federal elected and appointed officials, trade associations, NGOs and corporations aimed at achieving public policy outcomes favorable the company's business objectives.
- Represent Sysco before Members of Congress, Executive Branch agencies, and other officials across the US federal government.
- Improve knowledge of Sysco's commitments and corporate social responsibility priorities - e.g. economic impact, environmental stewardship, operational efficiency, charitable giving - among public policy leaders.
- Prepare federal lobbying reports and ensure compliance with all jurisdictional-specific reporting requirements.
