- Appointee will focus on clinical care and research related to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), cellular and gene therapy, hematologic malignancy, and/or immunology related to graft versus host or graft versus tumor effects.
- The chosen physician will join a strong clinical and translational academic program within the NCI-designated UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, which includes phase I-III clinical trials, investigator-initiated studies, as well as ongoing interactions with other cancer specialists.
- The division is a strong component of the NCI-designated UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center and has a strong presence in developmental therapeutics with an Experimental Therapeutics Clinical Trials Network (ETCTN) grant and as a Lead Academic Participating Site (LAPS) with the NCI National Clinical Trials Network.
- The UC Davis School of Medicine is in the top quarter of US medical schools for NIH funding and one of the inaugural Clinical and Translational Award sites.
