We specialize in customized mid- and short-run packaging solutions and serve a diverse customer base in the pharmaceutical, dairy, household chemicals, food/nutraceuticals, industrial/specialty chemicals, water, and beverage/juice segments. We are currently seeking an experienced Machine Operator for our Atlanta, GA facility. As a Machine Operator, you will operate blow mold, grinder and trimmer machines, as well as the conveyor system. You will also troubleshoot process problems and perform minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line. Being a team player will be essential since all tasks require close collaboration with co-workers. Your goal is to ensure that procedures are carried out smoothly in order to maximize both efficiency and profits. RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li>Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle</li><li>Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed)</li><li>Operate blow-mold machines (including wheels, reciprocating or shuttle machines)</li><li>Perform audits, weights and quality checks</li><li>Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws</li><li>Keep records of approved and defective units or final products</li><li>Enter data into SPC database for quality control measures</li><li>Troubleshoot, preventative maintenance & minor repair on blow-mold & support equipment</li><li>Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines</li><li>Maintain activity logs </li></ul>REQUIREMENTS: <ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>2+ years’ experience as a machine operator</li><li>Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills are required</li><li>Machine maintenance experience</li><li>Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals</li><li>Ability to work overtime</li><li>Physical stamina and strength/able to stand for long periods of time </li></ul>TRAINING: <ul><li>Completion of Altium Machine Operator 1 training within 90-days of hire date</li><li>Must be able to train on 1st shift, if needed </li></ul>BENEFITS: <ul><li>Competitive Hourly Rate</li><li>Medical, Dental & Vision</li><li>Holiday/Vacation Pay</li><li>401K with Company Contribution</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement</li><li>Learning & Training Opportunities</li><li>Bonus Opportunities </li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
