- The National Western Stock Show is currently seeking a Livestock Operations Coordinator to join the Livestock Team and provide year-round support towards putting forth a high-quality program during the annual Stock Show.
- As the Livestock Operations Coordinator, you will report directly to the Director of Livestock Operations and support the Director in fulfilling the duties of the NWSS Livestock Department, including carrying out the Livestock Show programming each January during the National Western Stock Show. The Livestock Operations Coordinator will represent the National Western Stock Show while working with a multitude of individuals and associations in support of the organization's vision and mission.
- Typical tasks may include managing livestock entries, creating show schedules and class breaks, and coordinating barn turnovers.
- Works closely with the Vice President, Director of Livestock Operations, NW staff, and Volunteer Liaison & Assistant Liaison to prepare for smooth and enjoyable livestock shows and sales.
- Assists the Director of Livestock Operations in working with 20+ Breed Associations and their staff by coordinating entries and corrections, addressing Show needs, maintaining schedules, and coordinating sales/special events, premium payouts, and rule changes.
