- Key areas of responsibility include: 1) ensuring compliance with US import regulations as outlined by Customs and Border Protection, FDA, FWS, FTC and other regulatory agencies as well as special trade programs including Foreign Trade Zones and CTPAT, 2) maintaining responsibility for TSA compliance as the companys designated coordinator, and, 3) working cross-functionally within the organization with the Domestic Customer Service, Audit, Solutions, and Finance departments.
- Ensure compliance with import regulations and laws and serve as a subject matter expert on trade compliance matters.
- Coordinate ocean & air import and export shipping functions as well as foreign-to-foreign moves and US Customs clearance and related processes.
- Implement metrics to track trade compliance processes and operations.
- Engage with external stakeholders such as third-party suppliers, customs brokers, carriers, and forwarders to identify opportunities and resolve customs compliance risks.
