- Assists in establishing priorities, scheduling, and assigning the work of those engaged in various grounds activities that include, but are not limited to, patching of concrete walks, fence repair, tree removal, road and parking lot repairs, drainage, erosion control, improvement to school grounds/athletic fields and outdoor playground
- Confers with the Grounds Supervisor regarding unusual problems or situations.
- Performs all tasks associated with daily grounds maintenance including but not limited to; planting, mowing, weeding, fertilizing, mulching, sweeping, raking, shoveling, string trimming, edging, removing limbs and rocks, pruning or removing shrubs, blowing curbs and sidewalks, removing of bulk trash and debris, maintaining and repairing artificial turf, clearing of storm drains, maintenance of sediment ponds, salting and removing snow with shovel, snow blower, and/or other equipment.
- Performs daily maintenance of equipment and reports damaged or broken equipment to the Grounds Supervisor.
- Prepares athletic areas for athletic contests, performs maintenance and/or repairs on artificial turf, and maintains irrigation systems, aerate, seed, fertilizer, lime, drag infields, spread, and level playing surfaces and water fields.
