- The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an experienced law enforcement instructor with a strong background in law enforcement tactics and tactical medical experience to be involved in planning and conducting classroom instruction, laboratory, and/or field instruction sessions as part of the training program.
- Conducting training in the following topical areas: Advanced Interviewing, Cross-Cultural Communications, Conflict/Stress Management, Mental Illness, Threat Response and Incident Management, Intelligence Collection, Security Operations, Improvised Explosive Devices, Firearms Instruction, Back Country Tactics, Investigative Techniques, Drugs of Abuse/Clan Lab Awareness, and Survival Spanish.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain FLETC Law Enforcement Instructor certification within 12 months of employment.
- Position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment - persons convicted of misdemeanor crimes of domestic violence are prohibited from occupying this position.
- Possess experience as a sworn law enforcement officer or agent with full arrest authority in the prevention, detection, apprehension, detention and/or investigation of felony and/or misdemeanor violations of federal, state, local, tribal, or military criminal laws;
