- The Laboratory Administrative Director (LD-A), under the direction of the Hospital Administrator and Laboratory Medical Director (LD), is responsible for all duties as stated in the Laboratory Administrative Director Position Description.
- The LD-A directs, supervises, and oversees the operations of the Laboratory, develops and manages the departmental budgets, provides organizational leadership to develop effective staffing, and takes an active role in the facility leadership group.
- The LD-A also maintains competency as a Med Tech (MLS).
- Four (4) years’ experience as a Laboratory Generalist (must include 4 years’ experience in each of the following: Phlebotomy, Chemistry, Blood Gases, Hematology/Coagulation/Serology, and Urinalysis), four (4) years’ experience in Transfusion Medicine, four (4) years’ experience in Microbiology, and verifiable experience in basic Laboratory Informatics/LIS, advanced computer skills, and basic procedure writing/development.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent, from an accredited institution.
