- The Marin County Probation Department is currently accepting applications for one vacancy which may be filled at the level of Juvenile Corrections Officer I (JCO I) or Juvenile Corrections Officer II (JCO II).
- JCO I's provide supervision, custody and care of minors detained in the Marin County Juvenile Hall following established policy and procedure.
- Juvenile Corrections Officers play an important role in initiating the process of change and making each juvenile's detention as positive and productive as possible.
- The Highly Qualified Candidate: The highly qualified candidate possesses a combination of education and experience that provides a general understanding of the issues surrounding a juvenile population in a criminal justice setting.
- Completion of 60 semester units from a college or university which included a minimum of 12 semester units in behavioral sciences, social welfare, social case work, counseling and guidance, psychology, criminology, corrections, education, recreation, or a closely related field.
