- Use current and effective teaching methods to teach and instruct students including lecture, hands-on activities, and team-teaching tailoring instructional methods to the needs of the students teaching a minimum of 3 credit classes of the JAG curriculum in the assigned high school daily or every other day (if assigned school utilizes block scheduling to help students achieve personal and program goals).
- Develop classroom lesson plans incorporating the JAG curriculum(s) along with supplemental materials, activities, and guest speakers to ensure students achieve specific JAG competencies.
- Establish a positive rapport and working relationship with students, parents, the school district, funders, and community partners to formulate and implement outreach activities providing information and education for recruitment of students who would benefit from participation in the JAG program to meet program requirements or metrics.
- The JAG program is dedicated to helping high school students of promise who have experienced challenging or traumatic life experiences achieve success through graduation.
- JAG is a resiliency-building workforce preparation program that helps students learn in-demand employability skills and provides a bridge to post-secondary education and career advancement opportunities.
