- Summary:A Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, and administering care within the scope of his/her training and expertise, collaborating with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes is met.
- This is done in conjunction with the objectives and policies of the hospital and the Nurse Practice Act of the state of Arkansas.
- A Cath Lab and/or IVR Nurse is a Registered Nurse who assists surgeons and other healthcare professionals during Cath lab and/or IVR surgical procedures.
- They work outside the procedure room’s sterile field by ensuring a clean and sterile environment, administration of medications, implementing and maintaining surgical counts, prepping for operations/procedures, documentation of surgery/procedure, monitoring perioperative staff, instruments, and equipment and the delivery of surgical specimens.
- Other information:Must have the required education needed to be a licensed Registered Nurse by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing with 18 months of Cath Lab and/or IVR experience.
