We're looking for a Golf Turfgrass Management Intern for the upcoming Summer Season. Can you picture yourself here working on a top-tier golf course learning the skills involved in Golf Course maintenance? You'd be responsible for: <ul><li>Golf Course Maintenance - working with the Turf Management crews in the field; to care for Greens, Fairways, and Tee Boxes.</li><li>Assist the superintendent to organize and direct maintenance of all areas within the scope and according to the technical specifications of the contract</li><li>Assist with procuring and managing supplies and materials to support maintenance activities</li><li>Account Management - Shadow the Golf Superintendant and Assistant Superintendant in client meetings and course walk-throughs.</li><li>Agronomic Review - Shadow a Spray Technician</li><li>Irrigation - Understand the various parts of the irrigation system; Irrigation troubleshooting and best practices</li><li>Represent BrightView Golf Maintenance in a positive and professional manner including attitude, appearance, and public relations</li></ul> You might be a good fit if you have: <ul><li>Pursuing a bachelors or associates degree in any areas of Agriculture such as the following: Turf Management, Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant or Soil Science</li></ul> And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have: <ul><li>Proficiency with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as CRM systems</li><li>Self-motivated to work on tasks</li><li>Effective oral and written communication skills</li><li>Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment</li><li>Strong work ethic</li></ul> Here's what to know about working here: Here at BrightView, we're as passionate about caring for our clients as we are about caring for each other.
