- Members of CSIB work closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies (primarily the New York City Police Department), bureaus within QDA, and other stakeholders within the community, to identify and study crime trends, groups, and individuals most responsible for driving crimes that impact our communities including violent crime, theft, fraud, and quality of life offenses.
- The Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with the unit’s Supervising Intelligence Analyst and Director and will assist in planning the deployment of resources for the prevention and suppression of c criminal activities.
- Coordinates with QDA bureaus in offering litigation support services including evaluation for alternatives to incarceration, witness background and social media analysis, and acting as a liaison to NYPD Precinct Field Intelligence Officers for assistance on active prosecutions and investigations.
- PREFERRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college required (preferably in data science, mathematics/statistics, computer science, or criminal justice) or the equivalent education and experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables; charts; functions; etc.)
