- Under the clinical direction and administrative supervision by the Behavioral Health Supervisor/Director of Behavioral Health, responsible for providing individual and group therapy, psychological/social service, and some discharge planning functions for the inpatient psychiatric unit.
- Provide assessment, counseling and mental health services for patients as ordered by physicians; Provides behavioral health assessments.
- Collaborates with the physicians as necessary during the course of treatment and makes recommendations for appropriate illness specific treatment interventions to develop patient-centered treatment plans, and safe discharges using the most current edition of Best Practices Guild lines.
- May perform a discharge summary and assist with referrals to other behavioral and/or medical providers as necessary during the course of treatment and for appropriate aftercare.
- Completes required medical record documentation on a timely basis; and participates in the Quality Management Plan for the inpatient/outpatient services;
