- Structured training includes weekly GIS seminars, required field safety and firearm training, topical workshops organized by DGGS staff, and other Statewide training through Aspire Alaska, the State’s online training platform.
- Demonstrated experience using computer modeling and software applications (i.e. Python, Matlab, IDL, etc) for evaluating groundwater and surface water systems.
- Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or the equivalent from an accredited college in hydrology or a natural or physical science which includes course work in hydrology, hydrogeology, or geohydrology.
- Two years of advanced professional level experience in geology, hydrology, hydrogeology, or geohydrology.
- This experience is met as a Hydrologist 3 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent from another employer.
