NEW Solutions is the ESP non-governmental organization responsible for administrative aspects of the ESP, and the enrollees work under USGS direction based on the functions in this job description. Telework is available in accordance with DOI and USGS Policies Qualifications: Minimum of 3 year(s) of experience in Federal Human Resources (Staffing/Recruitment/Classification) OR BA/BS Degree Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook USA Staffing Duties: Provide comprehensive human resources support in the form of recruitment, staffing, classification recommendations and position management products. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Human Resources Office seeks support to provide additional human resources services in an effort to improve the timeliness and quality of personnel services and products. Reviews applicant eligibility, qualifications, and ratings for complex technical, professional, and scientific positions. Explains qualifications determinations to supervisors, managers, and job applicants; informs applicants of hiring decisions.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;40% Responds to requests for reconsideration by employees, employee groups or management. Reviews requests for exceptions to provisions of DOI and bureau recruitment and placement policies. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;40% Performs a variety of analytical work to recommend appropriate pay system, occupational grouping, title and grade of positions. Completes classification advisory services on positions in the supported organization(s),analyzes, and prepared position descriptions for final review/classification including writing evaluation statements.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;20% Other: Training on USGS systems will be provided.
