- Complete annual audits on the Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution plans, as well as provide data for insurance carriers underwriting requirements, all benefit enrollments and HR processes as needed.
- Oversee tracking and administration of employee leaves of absence, such as the FMLA, PPL, ADA and return to work process, communication and compliance as required by federal law.
- Oversee implementation of employee wellness program by enhancing employee awareness of Port Houston benefits in an effort to lower the claims utilization
- Oversee monthly reconciliation and invoice payments, as well as, the weekly exchange of the demographic census and payroll files between HRIS and external benefits system; manage the data collection, analysis and reporting of benefit information as required by Affordable Care Act (ACA)
- Administer annual benefit statements for all employees (Total Rewards) as well as provide data information for annual pension census for the actuarial report and employee pension statements
