- Under the general direction of the Manager of Nursing Resources, the House Supervisor is responsible for supervising the delivery of nursing care and the nursing process on the assigned shift 24 hours daily, seven (7) days per week in collaborating with the associated Nursing Management and Nursing Administration.
- The House Supervisor is accountable to perform in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, State and Federal regulations, DNV requirements; and the Nursing Practice Act by the State of California Board of Registered Nurses.
- This is a highly visible position interacting with patients, family members, visitors, physicians, interdepartmental staff and nursing staff, representing nursing administration and hospital and hospital management.
- Nursing and House Supervisor are used interchangeably and synonymously with an identical meaning.
- It is comprised of these two hospitals along with a network of primary and specialty care health centers serving various communities across west Ventura County.
