- Physical Planning, Development & Operations (PPDO) manages and oversees all University activities and services related to physical and environmental planning, design and construction, engineering, physical plant maintenance and operations, capital planning and space management, and the associated business services necessary to support these functions.
- Vehicles and equipment maintained includes but is not limited to passenger sedans, light duty trucks, vans (both passenger and cargo), medium duty and heavy duty trucks, fire and police vehicles, passenger transport buses, tractors and landscape maintenance equipment, street sweepers, standby generators (1-kw to 150-kw) and other vehicles and equipment used in the day to day operations of the University.
- Further duties include TIG, MIG, Arc, and Fuel/Gas welding, cutting, burning, and sheering of various metals including but not limited to steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and cast aluminum.
- Perform or assist other Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians and Automotive Technician Assistant in major repair and maintenance of automotive and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, including major system overhauls.
