- USC’s School for Early Childhood Education (SECE) is dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality early childhood education services to children and their families in the South Los Angeles area.
- This position works closely with the Health/Nutrition Services Manager, Registered Nurse, Mental & Disability Health professionals, and other program staff in the supervision, planning, monitoring, and implementation of the comprehensive health/nutrition services for Early Head Start (EHS) and Head Start (HS) & State Preschool programs, including prenatal services for pregnant mothers.
- This position is responsible for the monitoring, consultation, training, policy and procedure development, and daily oversight of State Preschool Health/Nutrition Services and Health/Nutrition Education for both families and staff.
- Monitors the implementation of state and federal health, nutrition, and safety requirements described in the Head Start Program Performance Standards, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), State Childcare Licensing Regulations, and local grant goals and objectives.
- Work in conjunction with the Family Services and Home Based Educator Teams to coordinate services for pregnant women, schedule individual consultations and find community services beneficial to pregnant mothers as well as children from birth to three years of age.
