- The Grants Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the grant process such as: preparing, organizing, facilitating, and submitting grants; providing specialized grant-related assistance to applicants; developing and writing/editing grant proposals, reports, budgets, budget narratives, and other grant-related content.
- Compose grant applications, and proofread/edit narratives, support letters, budgets, etc.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of changing grant standards; proposal guidelines; and local, state, and national policies that affect grant making at the College.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field and at least one year of experience in grant development (or related work experience); or a combination of education and work experience.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and desktop publishing software.
