- What You'll Do The Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) Technician gathers, maintains and updates information for the GIS system and uses the data and information to provide reports, drawings, maps and other forms of information for use by the program and program customers.
- The GIS Technician supports the Civil Engineering Section in its day to day business processes associated with contract requirements.
- The GIS Technician also provides input on processes and procedures to ensure timely updates and key data is maintained for accurate and reliable data systems.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates of the master geospatial information system and all sub systems (layers) maintained by civil engineering.
- Some sub systems (layers) may be maintained by other personnel to the standard as required by the GIS Technician.
