- This position is responsible for ensuring that raw and ready-to-eat (RTE) beef, veal, pork, poultry and seafood products and plant processes comply with corporate policies and regulatory standards across multiple production plants, supporting the company’s Food Safety and Quality culture, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the professional growth ofplant FSQA Managers throughgoal setting, experiential learning and stretch projects that align with corporate, plant and customer objectives.
- Foster a Food Safety and Quality culture of proactivity, collaboration, informeddecision-making and education to support continuous improvement.
- Closely collaborate with other functional groups including Manufacturing, Sales, Maintenance, Operations, Product Development, Legal and Procurement on Food Safety and Quality matters to identify and assess root causes, implement corrective/preventative measures, and support change management.
- g meat science, animal science, food science, engineering or commensurate experienceMeat and/or Seafood HACCP and/or FSPCA Preventative Controls for Human FoodGFSI scheme experience, BRC or FSSC preferred and/or SQF Practitioner or equivalentRelated Experience:Minimum 5 years’ experience in FSQ management at federally inspected USDFSIS meat and/or FDA seafood plant(s).
