Overview The Foreman position provides leadership and technical expertise for a solar installation crew of three to six members. The Foreman is responsible for safety, quality, customer service, and productivity and ensures the successful completion of residential and small commercial projects. <ul><li>Get recognized for your hard work! You’ll earn Nike/Carhartt swag, prizes and amazing trips through the program as well as progress in your career. </li></ul>Responsibilities <ul><li>Organizes, leads, and trains crew members</li><li>Effectively manages all aspects of the construction workflow</li><li>Maintains project documentation</li><li>Develops a positive working dynamic within your team and with branch coworkers</li><li>Analyzes and resolves worker problems and recommend solutions</li><li>Maintains consistent customer relations throughout installation</li><li>Provides feedback to management</li><li>Performs service calls when necessary</li><li>May serve as acting supervisor/manager in the absence of supervisor or manager </li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>A minimum of two years of construction experience, including one year in solar installation</li><li>Experience with electrical work involving wiring up to 600 VDC and 480 VAC</li><li>Valid driver’s license and clean driving record</li><li>State electrical certification/license preferred</li><li>Ability to perform all duties of the Installer and Lead Installer</li><li>Knowledge of the NEC and applicable codes and standards</li><li>Understanding of relevant OSHA standards</li><li>CPR and first aid certifications</li><li>Computer skills with Microsoft Excel and Word</li><li>Strong mechanical/construction abilities</li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal and people management skills</li><li>5% travel is required </li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS <ul><li>Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)</li><li>Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance</li><li>Ability to climb ladders</li><li>Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity</li><li>Ability to frequently utilize hand functions requiring fine motor skills, including but not limited to: fine manipulation, grasping, and pinching</li><li>Ability to work within the safe range of equipment such as ladders, fall protection harnesses and other personal protective equipment</li><li>Ability to work and maintain balance on roofs and other areas of height</li><li>Ability to work in the sun and possibly low light conditions</li><li>Ability to walk on rafters, roof tiles, and roof shingles without damage</li><li>Ability to distinguish colors such as red, black, yellow, white, green</li><li>Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces which requires kneeling and crouching</li><li>Ability to hear verbal commands and warnings</li><li>Ability to work with chemicals using appropriate protections </li></ul>Recruiter Tommy Carmichael (Thomas.Carmichael@sunrun.com) Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to acts, such as The Equal Pay Transparency Act. Starting Salary/wage For This Opportunity $33.90 to $45.20 Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards.
