- The World Trade Center (WTC) Mental Health Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is recruiting full-time psychiatrists to treat 9/11 responders.
- In October of 2022, the CDC awarded $340 million in new funding to Mt. Sinai's WTC Health Program Clinical Center of Excellence to support expanded services.
- The World Trade Center Health Program is a limited federal health program that provides no-cost services for certified WTC exposure-related health conditions to those directly affected by the 9/11 attacks in New York, the Pentagon, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
- The Health System includes approximately 7,300 primary and specialty care physicians; 13 joint-venture ambulatory surgery centers; more than 415 ambulatory practices throughout the five boroughs of New York City, Westchester, Long Island, and Florida; and more than 30 affiliated community health centers.
