- Reporting to the CPO/President, the Executive Director of Philanthropy for Providence Mission Hospital Mission Viejo (Mission Hospital) Foundation serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting the Foundation.
- In partnership with the CPO/President, this position is responsible for fundraising and development of major gift activities related to Mission Hospital's key Institutes, service lines, campuses, and relevant medical programs.
- The Executive Director will also work closely with the Foundation Board of Directors, Senior Director of Philanthropy, Campaigns and Senior Director of Philanthropy, Donor Relations.
- The Executive Director will mentor and coach the philanthropy officers (development officers) and respective support staff on the major gifts team to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward major gift donors, and identify opportunities to strengthen, leverage and engage the organization's constituents and volunteers in meaningful ways.
- The Executive Director drives and implements a culture of philanthropy throughout Mission Hospital, and works closely with Institute leadership, physician leaders and other caregivers to improve and expand the Foundation's grateful patient fundraising programs.
