- The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for facilitating the business's Environmental Health and Safety strategy, including compliance with all relevant Upfield, Federal, State and Local policies and standards; training and development; and lending expertise to all EHS related issues within the operations.
- This position is also responsible for assisting the EHS Manager and Site Leadership Team in the development of new site initiatives around EHS efforts.
- Knowledge and understanding of local, state, and federal environmental regulations to include hazardous waste, Tier II, and storm water permitting.
- Support Upfield's desire to reduce our environmental impact with 50% reduction in waste reduction and zero waste to landfill initiatives.
- Provide support to the EHS Manager for the administration and implementation of all EHS programs and policies to ensure the Facility's adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations to ensure an accident/hazard free/healthy work environment.
