- Even though this is a full-time position, it should be realized that this position will have down periods of time due to project scheduling and weather, to include reduced hours and possible layoff during the winter months.
- Typically, a Field Technician works a full year (2080 hours) within a nine month construction season.
- Monitor and document construction activities at solid waste landfill facilities including field inspection and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners.
- Supervise and complete construction quality assurance and construction quality control activities in several states, including the construction of landfill components and other environmental control systems.
- Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
