- Partner with Thermal program engineer to frame the right thermal environment for all under hood/body components and influence components design/package/routings from beginning to end of Ford product development process to achieve optimum vehicle energy management and usage.
- With a creative and analytical mind, the CAE engineer will use key insights to detect potential thermal inefficiency + issues and frame new opportunities, design optimization, and guide under-hood/body component design for our vehicle in development.
- Lead and perform full vehicle transient thermal CAE models from start to finish (CAD data collection, clean up, meshing, boundary conditions setup and post-processing)
- Interface with Ford global team (global thermal team, CAD, CAE Integration, D&R, and other attributes)
- Assist front-end opening and grill design optimization to meet vehicle airflow and performance targets throughout vehicle development phases
