- Assists with analysis and review of plant requests for new equipment, off-standard approvals, digging and excavation, hot work etc.
- to report trends to senior Health and Safety management, regulatory compliance, and onsite plant management team.
- Liaises with the plant and network medical, security functions, and UAW Health & Safety Representatives.
- Assists with the design and implementation of training programs across departments on the technical aspects of occupational safety issues such as hazardous materials management, machine guarding, industrial hygiene monitoring, manufacturing process safety, energy control, power lockout, root cause analysis, fire safety, new employee orientation etc.
- Assists senior engineers, specialists, and managers to regularly update existing Occupational Safety specific guidelines and procedures related to occupational health and safety in the workplace, hazardous materials management, industrial hygiene monitoring, equipment safety systems etc.
