- Car accident injuries, chest pains, breathing difficulties, strokes, burns, and broken bones are not choices and, as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT Basic), what you do is extraordinary.
- Respond to dispatch information and drive specially equipped emergency vehicles to specified locations within applicable norms.
- Utilize medical equipment and procedures including a defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, CPR and other procedures and medications as required to provide advanced medical care.
