- In LCPS’ Elementary instructional model teachers in grades K-1 teach all subjects in a self-contained classroom and in grades 2-5, teachers team teach ELA/Humanities, Math, Science, Fitness, and Arts allowing teachers to specialize in fewer content areas taught to two classes of students per grade.
- In addition to your content courses, all LCPS teachers are assigned an advisory (known as a “Crew”), morning or afternoon duty (yard supervision) up to 2 times per week, and either a guided study hall or designated ELD course depending on the need of the school and the teacher’s specific licensure.
