- As part of the National Archives, the Truman Library offers authentic educational experiences that meet state and national standards while helping students gain a deeper understanding of our nation's history, government, and democratic ideals.
- Responsibilities As a Education Specialist, you will: Develop, implement, and oversee education program plans, policies, and procedures for the White House Decision Center (WHDC) and work with a variety of other family and youth education programs of the Library.
- This includes overseeing the scheduling and training of the WHDC teacher cadre and promoting the WHDC to schools, adult groups, and other community groups.
- Conduct research, and develop and publish curriculum and teacher study guides for grades Kindergarten through 12 (K-12) relative to Harry S. Truman and his times.
- Participate in the development and implementation of museum education programs for K-12 school groups visiting the Library and in public and private schools in Missouri, Kansas, and nationwide.
