- The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Specialists assists in the overall supervision, planning, organization, and implementation of the Education Services component of the Head Start Program per Head Start Program Performance Standards, philosophy and mission.
- Assists in establishing and licensing centers in accordance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and Community Care Licensing Regulations.
- Supervises site Teacher Directors (TD) and/or Center Directors (CD) in maintaining compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and State Licensing Regulations by monitoring, evaluating and submitting required documentation.
- Develops local Education Service Plans with parents and staff incorporating recommendations from Local Parent Education Committee.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development (CD)/Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field with a minimum of twenty-four (24) units in CD/ECE required.
