- Multnomah County's Behavioral Health Coordinated Diversion partners with the Oregon Judicial Department (OJD), Multnomah County Department of Community Justice (DCJ), Multnomah County District Attorney's Office (MCDA), Oregon State Hospital (OSH), and Oregon Office of Public Defense Services (OPDS) to provide intensive Clinical Case Management to severely mentally ill, criminal justice involved individuals.
- The Diversion Court Clinical Services Specialist (CSS) position provides client outreach, screenings, care planning, education, referrals, legal advocacy and testimony, and care coordination.
- Provide coordination and referrals for Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) / criminal justice involved eligible clients to assist them to access Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment, and other eligible services based on needs.
- To be available to the court as a Mental Health and resource specialist, including sworn testimony, legal advocacy, and crisis intervention.
- As a newly hired Diversion Court CSS, you will receive a one-time New Hire Recruitment and Retention Incentive payment of $1,500 on your first paycheck.
