- Under general direction, the Director of Payroll is responsible for planning, directing, and managing the work of the Payroll team, including payroll processing, payroll systems, and payroll reporting for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford (LPCH), Packard Children’s Health Alliance (PCHA), and Packard Medical Group (PMG).
- The Director of Payroll will be responsible for accurate and timely payments to employees; accurate and timely processing of employee reimbursements; timely and accurate deposits of payroll taxes and liabilities; timely and proper filings of payroll tax returns; and proper distribution of payroll transactions to appropriate accounts in the general ledger, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, applicable federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- This position acts as a liaison between other Controller’s Office functions such as Accounting and Accounts Payable, other internal departments such as Information Services and Human Resources, outside vendors, and other related entities such as Stanford Healthcare.
