- Reporting to the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the Director manages the Alger Adams Intercultural Center, (“The AIC"), which serves as a “home away from home” for minoritized and underrepresented students, and in particular, students of color.
- This is a full-time, on-site position, whose primary responsibilities, in addition to student mentoring and student employee guidance and supervision, include program development, event management and promotion, fiscal and budget management, and oversight of the assets and the physical venue of the Adams Intercultural Center.
- Developing and executing signature AIC events, such as the AIC graduation dinner, the graduation farewell brunch, and the Alger Adams Scholars recognition program are core responsibilities, as well as scaffolding and proactively promoting significant cultural celebrations such as Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, and Women’s History Month.
- The Director is a primary point of contact for the Afro Latino Alumni Association (ALAA), as well as local community organizations with aligned missions, such as the NAACP, and the Martin Luther King Day Celebration Committee.
- Lead the creation and implementation of AIC-sponsored programs and events
