- Provide leadership and management for the Office of Community Standards, including all undergraduate and graduate student conduct functions; serve as a senior-level Hearing Officer/Student Accountability Officer for Educational Conferences and as an appeal officer for Educational Conferences conducted by other Hearing Officers/Student Accountability Officers; serve as a decision designee for the Vice President, Learner Success & Campus Life and/or the Dean of Students.
- Manage all investigations and adjudicate student conduct matters involving student organizations (i.e., fraternities, sororities, athletic teams, club sports, etc.)
- Advise the Campus Life leadership team on all related public policy issues, relevant case law, and professional standards and best practices; ensure that the College’s student conduct processes are in compliance with all federal and state legislative requirements including FERPA and the Clery Act; and act as the liaison with the College’s General Counsel and Title IX Coordinator on student conduct matters, whenever appropriate and advisable.
- In conjunction with the Title IX Coordinator, adjudicate all student-on-student gender-based misconduct cases; serve on the case management team; and communicate decision outcomes and determine sanctions when a respondent is found responsible for a policy violation.
- In partnership with the Departments of Public Safety and Residence Life, manage and coordinate investigative follow up on student conduct matters; monitor and evaluate college policy enforcement processes and procedures; regularly identify and implement ongoing improvements.
