- ISH Dining Services - Local Nursing Facility is seeking a Food Service/Dietary Supervisor to assist in managing our kitchen by planning, organizing, and directing the overall operations of the Dining Services department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards and ensuring quality nutritional meals are prepared and served from kitchens maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
- Reports To: Food Service DirectorRESPONSIBILITIES OF DIETARY MANAGER/FOOD SERVICE DIRECTOR:· Inspects the Dietary Department daily to ensure that it is safe and sanitary.
- Follows menus and special diet instructions prescribed by the attending physician· Directs other food service employees in the absence of the Food Service Director and the Assistant Food Service Director.
- QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS OF FOOD SERVICE/DIETARY SUPERVISOR:· Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or a GED or at least two (2) years of experience in the healthcare field and/or related industry.
- Must be knowledgeable of Federal and State rules and regulations regarding nursing home dietary requirements· Prior food service experience in a long-term care setting, preferred· Prior supervisory experience, preferred· Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance· Must be able to work well with peers in a congenial work environment, and above all, maintain the utmost compassion and dignity to the residents and adhere to the Resident Bill of Rights.
