- The Department of Psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center is recruiting a Designated Forensic Psychologist (DFP) or eligible-DFP Candidate to work as a member of the Tufts Medical Center Mobile Forensic Evaluation Team. This full-time position (40 hours each week) comes with an academic appointment in the Tufts University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry at a rank to be determined by qualifications.
- How you’ll impact patient care:Conduct court-ordered competence to stand trial, criminal responsibility, aid in sentencing, and prisoner in need of treatment evaluations at the Dr. Solomon Carter Fuller Mental Health Center, and other Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH), correctional, or community-based facilities when necessary.
- Author forensic reports and provide testimony, as required.
- Provide consultative risk assessments to DMH services and inpatient units.
- Opportunities exist for initiating a research program and for training practicum students, psychology interns, and psychiatric residents.
