- If you are pre-certified to become a Wisconsin Law Enforcement officer, or are certified and currently working part-time as a Wisconsin Law Enforcement agency, you can start at a higher pay rate.
- Under direction, to perform a full range of police duties necessary to enforce the law, investigate complaints, maintain order, supervise jail residents, aid individuals in danger of physical harm, identify criminal offenders and activity, apprehend offenders, identify law enforcement problems, resolve conflict, facilitate the movement of people and vehicles and provide other police services as required.
- The Association agrees that New Hire Law Enforcement Officer/Deputy candidates offered employment by Dane County may be hired as lateral transfers, and eligible for lateral entry benefits if they meet the terms and conditions set forth herein.
- In order to be hired as a lateral transfer, the applicant must meet all conditions and hiring qualification and accept a deputy sheriff position with Dane County Sheriff's Office.
- All accepted lateral transfers will be subject to the probationary period as set forth in Section 7.04 of the Collective Bargaining agreement between the County and Dane County Deputy Sheriff's Association.
