- As a member of the Mobile Response Team, the Crisis Response Specialist (CRS) I is responsible for being on call when on shift to respond to crisis situations as identified by the CREOKS Spring Creek Operations Center and 988.
- CRS ensures the team reviews the details of the call with the dispatcher and activates the GPS tracking.
- CRS ensures that persons in crisis are called in advance if possible to indicate the team is on the way with and an estimated time of arrival as well as to inquire concerning additional needs and the need for law enforcement support.
- Use verbal de-escalation skills, functional assessments, peer support, crisis planning/safety planning and/or community resources to assist persons in managing and/or gaining control of a crisis either via telephone/within the home or community.
- Stays in contact with the LMHP assigned to support the team and provides all necessary information to the LMHP to determine the need for assessment and best supports to be provided to persons in crisis.
