- The Criminal Intelligence Analyst (CIA) evaluates and analyzes intelligence reports and data submitted by law enforcement officers to determine patterns, recurring events, identities and activities of criminal groups, and active individual criminals.
- The Criminal Intelligence Analyst performs both routine and advanced analytical case assignments which may be sensitive in nature.
- The position monitors criminal trends, patterns, and changes in overall crime which impact the quality of life and delivery of Police services to the community.
- Generate investigative materials for major general and narcotic investigations including investigative reports, charts, graphs, logs, flow charts, telephone toll analysis, financial/asset trace reports, social media monitoring/analysis and tactical or strategic intelligence projects.
- Knowledge and proficiency in the use databases, spreadsheets, word-processing, internet-based research and the ability to learn a variety of current law enforcement technology platforms.
